Slow Food Alameda

Farm Tour to Perry Farms

E-mail

Saturday, September 13th

Please join us for a fabulous farm tour to Perry Farms, a family farm in Fremont. They are one of the local, organic suppliers to the Alameda Natural Grocery. We will tour the farm, have a picnic lunch, and have an opportunity to shop at their Farm Stand.

Perry Farms is a 70- acre farm, owned by Joseph Perry and his two sons, providing an abundant variety of certified organically-grown vegetables at affordable prices to independent grocers such as Alameda Natural Grocery. They will host us for a fun farm tour, taking us around on their wagons and people movers, to see how the crops are grown, giving us the inside tips on what it takes to be successful in producing delicious produce. After the tour, we will enjoy a picnic in a traditional farm setting. We can shop at their Farm Stand before heading back to the Marketplace.

Tickets are $55 and $45 for Slow Food members.
