Traditions Sausage Co. and Slow Food Alameda Present: A Sausage Making Demo

E-mail

Sunday January 25th, 12 Noon - 3:00PM

Please join us for an afternoon of fun and great tastes! We are offering Slow Food Alameda members a sausage, cured meats and herb salt demonstration on Sunday January 25th, 12 Noon - 3:00PM.

You will have the opportunity to take part in a hands-on experience. Traditions makes sausages the “old fashioned way”. We will provide you with sustainable meat products and an interesting experience. The class starts with an introduction on the history of sausage making, a few family stories, and a discussion at each step of the sausage making and cured meat process.
You will touch, smell and taste your way through the entire process of grinding, mixing spices, and stuffing sausage links, etc. We will demonstrate how to make traditional family recipes with the sausage. At the end of the demo we will provide a tasting party. You will sample homemade dishes and sausage prepared during the demonstration.

The demonstration class, food tasting, wine and a green salad is $25.00 per person. Traditions will make a per person donation to Slow Food Alameda. Space is limited to 20 people.
